This blog post focuses on the best clothing stores in Rome, Italy. I grew up in Rome, so I know the matter in details.
You’ll find some of the best department stores in Rome in the downtown area or centro storico.
I have compiled a list of women’s clothing stores in Rome where I have been shopping for years.
In this post, you will discover insider tips for enjoying the most affordable shopping in Rome whether you want to buy luxury brands or cheap clothes.
I’ll tell where to find high-end department stores such as La Rinascente and way more wallet-friendly stores like OVS, Benetton, and Primark.
These stores sell clothes for every season including swimwear, underwear, and shoes (although they mostly do not specialize in shoes).
You’ll also find them useful if you’re looking for men, kids, plus sizes, babies, and maternity clothes in Rome.
If you’re wondering where to shop in Rome, you’ve come to the right place.
9 Best clothing stores in Rome

Coin also sells cosmetics and house decoration and organization items. You’ll easily spend a few hours inside.

2. OVIESSE – the best cheap clothes shopping in Rome
Oviesse (OVS) is the best affordable Italian clothing brand.
The clothes quality is very good.
I go here to buy jeans because I can find them in so many different styles and colors and they look great on me.
I also came to buy clothes from OVS when I was pregnant and I get all my newborn daughter’s clothes in organic cotton here at very competitive prices.
Oviesse sells everyday and casual clothes and shoes (but I don’t get shoes here) as well as classic and more formal office-appropriate ones.
It is one of the most popular clothing stores in Rome. There are also sales all year round, especially if you have the store’s loyalty card which is quite easy to get at checkout.

3. Benetton Stores
Go to Benetton department stores in Rome if you are looking for high-quality fabrics such as cotton and wool and want to buy them from an Italian brand.
In recent years, it has become difficult to find pure wool clothes in Italy, but you can find them here.
Prices are medium-high.
Buyers especially love children’s clothing, its design, and its fabrics.
Another highlight of these stores is the large number of colors in which the garments are available.
The company claims to use non-toxic colors in the dyes, an appreciable factor since Benetton also has a children’s clothing line.

4. H&M ROME
You are interested in affordable clothes in Rome and at the same time would like to have a wide choice?
Then try H&M.
The store is always very busy and especially by the very young. The reason is the presence of lots of casual clothing (although there is no shortage of dresses and shirts) at the lowest prices in town (excluding second-hand clothes).
If you go there on weekends you will find it packed, better to visit on a weekday, when you will enjoy the merchandise sorted and more helpful salespeople.
There is a large assortment of accessories such as bags, hats, and fashion jewelry.
Children’s clothes don’t disappoint either.

5. BERSHKA – Teenagers clothes in Rome
In recent years this store with its own line features a style directed at teenagers.
Bershka’s is fresh and jaunty, although you can find basic garments that suit everyone.
However, these clothes are designed specifically for teenagers.
If you are looking for killer tops, corsets, and miniskirts you will find them here.
Definitely come here if you’re visiting Rome with a teenager and you want to make her happy!

6. KIABI – off the beaten path and cheap
I go to this store located in Rome’s outskirts very often to buy clothes for myself and for my daughter.
Even if it’s located on the city’s edges, the Kiabi department store is worth the trip if you’re looking for the best shopping in Rome on a budget.
The prices are very affordable, the style is simple. This is a French brand.
You can find everything there but customers love
- sweatshirts
- sweaters and
- everyday pants
- school and sporty clothes
- Baby clothes
The style is not very sophisticated but there is quite a wide choice. In contrast, for children, the offer is even better.
You will also find plus sizes and if you are looking for very simple t-shirts in many colors for very little money here they have it!
Kiabi is the cheapest clothing store in Rome, hands down.

7. CONBIPEL
Conbipel stores were born and became famous for selling excellent quality leather clothing at good prices.
Today they also sell clothing in cotton, wool, and synthetic fibers. Here you can find clothes for all occasions.
This brand focuses on quality at reasonable prices.
The stores are large and well-stocked. There is also a good assortment of handbags, shoes, and genuine leather belts.

8. La Rinascente Rome
La Rinascente is the oldest department store in Italy.
The history of the Bocconi brothers’ business began in Milan in 1865 with a cloth and garment store.
The name “Rinascente” was chosen by noted Italian author Gabriele d’Annunzio after a fire destroyed the Milan store in 1918.
Rinascente in Italian means ” that is born again.”
At Rinascente you will find international and Italian high-fashion clothing brands.
Today the Rome store is the most beautiful Rinascente in Italy, with a space and lighting design in tone with its location near the luxury shopping streets of Rome.
Here women with means will find handbags, shoes, designer clothes, and jewelry.
Men, too, will find refined garments.
The icing on the cake is definitely the rooftop terrace with a bistro and shops selling gourmet desserts and sparkling wines.
Finding the store will be easy because it’s close to all the monuments in the historic center and a stone’s throw from Via del Corso and Via Condotti where you’re sure to head to check out the boutiques.
Rome’s Rinascente address
- Via del Tritone, 61
9. Primark
The Irish clothing, accessories, and home items brand has landed in Rome only a few years ago but its fame has already made the rounds.
Primark is currently the clothing store in Rome with the most customers.
The reason is the affordable prices and the truly wide selection.
Although everyone seems crazy about Primark (and satisfied with their purchases), I prefer the style of Oviesse clothing.
Also, I don’t like shopping in places that are too crowded.
To find a Primark store, you will have to go to one of these two shopping malls in Rome that are fairly out of the way unless you travel by car:
- Maximo Shopping Center on Via Laurentina 865
- Roma Est Shopping Center on Via Collatina 858.
